The bottom line: Surprisingly fantastic pies (the best thin crust, Milan style that I have had anywhere, ever), complimented by unsurprisingly terrible customer service and an environment that only a crazy person could dream up. The old man who runs the place is about as unhappy as anyone I've ever met. That being said, the quality of his pies allow me to ignore everything else. My recommendation: Go, but take it home!

Meh. Everything was just kind of okay. The options for pizzas were plentiful and the descriptions were great. The execution was lacking. I'm not a fan of the slightly burnt cracker pizza crust. I guess that was the aim for the texture. It tasted like those pizza Combo snacks. The service was subpar and it took a long time to cook a pie. We were only one of two parties at the restaurant. Communication with the waitress was a struggle. The owner or manager was a little short with us when we asked a question. Honestly wouldn't even have gone through with this review of it wasn't for that. Might be a good experience for some, but there are safer bets around town.

Might be nice if you all would answer your phone. Was planning to pick up pizza for the family but no answer.

So let's get this out of the way - the seating is really lousy, service is not great, dollar waters. the cash only thing, the decor is completely random and they have paper plates- the thin white kind you have at picnics. But now that all the downsides are out of the way - these people are pizza geniuses. What I really like about this place are the dressing and the sauces - the fried pickles with the homemade ranch were the best I've had. The strawberry poppyseed salad dressing was so good I licked the bowl - which seems perfectly acceptable at pickle factory. The vegetarian pizza was absolutely delicious - very thin crust and an excellent mix of flavors. It was by far the best pizza I've had in ages. Kids loved the pepperoni. The margarita pizza was the least of the three pizzas and I could eat that all day. If you are into hole in the wall random goodness - this is the place.

Strange name. Funky place. Hands down the best Pizza on 30A. Get the veggie pizza. You won't miss the meat.

What I Liked. It's totally a local dive. Owner has given it a real feel. Small resturant for sure. Great music playing (not live) just good lite 70s stuff over the speakers. Eclectic place. It's like a quiet bar/pizza house/local hangout all melted together. We sat on a sofa with a few chairs around it. Sorta fit right in with the decor. Felt like that's the way it should be! Food. It's a gourmet pizza joint but it's got a small assortment of other options too. Lots of unique pizza options to choose from in terms of how they are prepared with toppings. There was also other unique menu options like Thai wings (didn't try them). REALLY Awesome fried pickles. Best I've ever had to be honest. Owner actually grows them himself. It shows too! Stellar fresh. A few salad options too. My son had popcorn shrimp. It was ok. I've had better. Over-cooked a bit. Pizza was great actually. Not saturated with heavy oil or loaded down with sauce. So we didn't leave feeling gross! Which happens a lot after pizza! What I Didn't Like: I felt like the pizzas were priced a tad bit high for a 12" pizza. They only give you one size option. And it's all thin crust. So it's pizza "their way" in that sense but it worked. And they serve soda by the can. So no refills obviously. Not the most customer friendly in that one regard. If they changed that and offered fountain drinks I think it would help them. Service was just great though. Overall it's worth it. Definitely worth try it.

WOW!! Some of the BEST pizza I have ever encountered!! Take some of the best aspects of thin crust pizza you can imagine, then add some Thai flare. Spicy as you like it, but not just hot, flavorful hot. The wings are the best I have ever had. I swear I want some extra sauce to take home and put on my toothbrush in the morning!! The Chef certainly is a genius! Dont stress about the reviews with less than 4 stars on this place, these people need to get over their issues and learn how to enjoy some good food.

I'm giving the Pickle Factory five stars, well because I just love the place. Come here for good vibes and great pizza, plus other foods with a distinctive Thai flare. It's a local dive with a very laid back atmosphere - think lava lamps, cool music and even a VIP hookah lounge on the front porch. You can kick back on a couch and have pizza over the coffee table or sit at a dining table. The pizza is superb. Thin crust, and a light amount of sauce and cheese so as not to take away from the flavor of other toppings. Nice beer and wine selection. Very friendly staff - the owner himself asked how our meal was. Hope this was helpful!

I love this place! Thai Pizza, are you kidding me? Thai wings? The best wings I've ever. The pizza is incredibly different and wonderful. I have no idea why the the rating are so low. This place is packed! Low ratings seems to be this place's last problem. Really spicy favorable food. CASH ONLY WHEN JULY 3RD

Amazing pizza! I went for the first time a few years ago and now stop to eat there every time I'm in town because I haven't found a better pizza yet. I was very surprised to find they serve some thai dishes which I Also enjoyed. All of the food is freshly made and has great authentic taste! The employees are very nice and fun. I love the relax feel; where else can you sit on a couch and enjoy a great pizza?! The place just has such a cool vibe. I just wish I didn't have to make a 16 hour drive and was able to go more than the twice a year I'm in town.

I did not enjoy the pizza, or the price. Best go else where... Not a fan of thin crust, closer resemblance to a stale tortilla. No tap water only bottled water. Weird.

Ok food but extremely surly and rude staff. I definitely don't need attitude on my vacation and while I'm eating and paying someone for a meal. What's up with having to pay for water? Tap water should be fine and available. I highly recommend you stay very far away from this restaurant -- "it's a Debbie Downer on your Nice Vacation."

What a great eclectic mix of pizza and Thai this place is. Where else can you sit on a couch in the restaurant and eat your dinner? My wife, who is not a pizza fan, said she'd eat pizza a lot more if it was like this one each time. She fell in love with the Thai pizza. There is very little seating which is the only negative I have for this location, but given that it's pizza, I'm guessing they mostly do take out. Would definitely return. Cash or check only. (they do have an ATM on location though)

Pizza was very good. Other than that, rest of experience was big disappointment. Service is very slow, they didn't take credit cards, they make you pay for water, only use paper plates, etc....

Ate Here last week on our vacation. The food was very good, but waiting on it was over the top. We ordered five pizzas which we got an hour and a half after we ordered. I asked the waitress what was taking so long and she said the take out orders.... We watched pizza after pizza walking out of the restaurant while we waited. The pizza was great once we got it. The pizza is small with very thin crust and a bit pricey, really more of a flat bread. Takes about 2 pies to fill up a teenager, so beware. We felt like after the long wait we had only had a snack! The food was a 4 to 5 in taste, service a 1.

Very cool quaint atmosphere (probably not the best place for multi-family parties). Loved watching Jeff make the pizzas right in front of us. Waiter was friendly. Pizza was delicious. Not the biggest pizzas so order accordingly. Meat Lovers was our favorite.

The pizza is just the way I like it, thin crust and fresh toppings. Love the salads, the dressings are all home-made. Surprisingly there are several Thai dishes on the menu at this pizza place. I freaking love Thai food and must say they do a great job. Very authentic Thai flavor. I have always had a great time here and find the owners and staff fun and friendly...

I do not recommend this restaurant to anyone. My husband and I went in for lunch. We ordered a Thai dish and a flat bread pizza. We also asked for water to drink. The servers brought us bottled water and two glasses with ice. We said no, we just wanted tap water. They said " no, we can not serve water because we don't have a filter." Now, I question the logic of this because they served ice. Doesn't ice also have to go through a filter? When we questioned all three people working in the restaurant about why they don't offer tap water, we received the response "what's wrong with paying an extra dollar?" So, that's it folks, they are refusing to serve tap water to upsell the customer. And if it's true, that a filters required; I hope the health inspector shows up to complete a review of the water conditions. There are plenty of other restaurants that serve great food and provide good customer service in the area.

Food was alright but with the service, I felt like I was trying to please both of them instead of the other way around. Though we all have our off days so I will give it another try.

This place exemplifies one aspect of the of a principle that I have dubbed the South Walton Dining Dichotomy. It's a phenomenon that I've observed in my 23 years of living here. It's a simple rule that basically states that you can't have it all. In most good cases of dining out around here, you can either have a good product, or a good experience, but you can't get both without shelling out some serious cash(you still probably don't get both). The Pickle Factory has been open for around five years, and they have consistently made some of the best pizza that I've ever had anywhere, ever. Thin, cracker crust Milan style pizza with off the wall ingredient combinations that are surprisingly good. My personal favorite has always been the Kee Mao. It's basically spicy sausage, basil and garlic. I would eat their pizza all the time, but.... The father and son that own and run it are some of the most unpleasant people that I've ever had the displeasure to interact with. They seem to despise their miserable existence and strive to share the pain of their sad state with everyone else that they encounter. It seems like they are drunk most of the time, which must just let their little fits of rage and uncouth slip out more often. I don't think I can say that I've been there once without observing, or being subject to some form of verbal abuse to customers or at the bare minimum, just plain rudeness. So there's that. Then, there's the atmosphere. It literally feels like you're sitting in a Spencer Gifts shop. They have all sort of neon lights and lava lamps, and Packers schwag carelessly placed about. The giant plasma above the bar is dedicated to the 2006 version of the iTunes Visualizer. The decor is best summed up by the neon sign above the prep station that says, "whatever." And that's pretty much it. You're almost guaranteed to be uncomfortable at some point, or throughout your entire experience here, but you will enjoy what may be some of the best pizza you can buy. I keep coming back for a two reasons. I can be a bit masochistic, and I fucking love a good pie every now and then. Oh yeah, and they only take cash and checks.

Worst restaurant experience ever, having lovely day biking from Sea Grove to Grayton beach, just wanted something light for lunch, my sister and I got a piece of frozen key lime pie and walked over to Pickle factory to get my husband something. He ordered appetizer, we were not interested in drinking, I think this made the waiter? Owner? Mad. He took for ever to bring out food, it was so so, gave us dirty looks and never came back. My husband went into pay we were sitting outside eating, the man followed us out called us F----kers for bringing pie over to eat and having bottles of our own water! We don't know if he was drunk or just had anger issues, stay away if you don't plan on running up a big bill! No one else was there is was not like we were taking up needed space. Wish I didn't have to give one star.

We came up on this place right when they were about to close down but the owners were outside talking and they invited us right in and served us a pizza with lobster on it and it was pretty good...they have draft beer and a different type of atmosphere with couches and living room type chairs for customers to eat on. There are a ton of pizza places around SOWAL, I truly can't say that I would recommend this one over any others bc I have only been to this one and Brunos....it was a very fresh pizza but it wasn't something that I was completely wowed over. Just OK. They do serve a little side plate of pickles and I guess that's why they call it the pickle factory.

Terrible pizza. Save your $20/pie. Can't believe locals recommended it.
